I can't thank you enough for the support and guidance you gave to me while I was breastfeeding Zach. For the first 2 months of Zach's life, I was plagued with worry and feelings of inadequacy about Zach's slow weight gain and concern that I was not producing enough milk. I'm certain that this all caused a vicious cycle which lead to further worry and consequently less milk and low weight! After my first skype session with you I felt energised and renewed about breastfeeding, letting Zach guide me and above all, trusting my maternal instincts. You gave me so much encouragement and positivity. I'm pleased to report that Zach is now 5 months old and we are still breastfeeding which I can virtually guarantee would not be the case without your help. I treasure the precious moments we have breastfeeding, especially (and strangely!) the late night sleepy feeds - those special times where Zach and I are snuggled up together without anything else to worry about or distract us. Thank you again - it is no overstatement to say that you truly changed my outlook and attitude when it comes to breastfeeding, which I will continue with confidence over the coming months. Melissa

Hi Robyn,
You won’t remember me amongst the hundreds of people you help but I certainly remember you!!
I had my first daughter March 2007 and after almost giving up breast feeding I met you through Darebin services and you put me on track within a really short time!!! Then you helped with my second daughter in August 2008 over the phone when you were in Darwin and I was ready to give up feeding her too…but thanks to you I fed her for nearly a year too!! Now baby number 3 is due in May and wondered if you, or people who share your same style for helping women breast feed, would be available to help me before I get to a point of nearly giving up!!!
Would you be able to let me know what services you offer, costs and how to organise setting something up. I would really appreciate support if possible with the feeding as I have learnt so much from you in many ways and I am sure this would make it a more enjoyable time if I can get the feeding right early on. I will be having the baby in the Family birthing centre at the Mercy so will be home fairly quickly afterwards.
Look forward to hearing from you or one of your colleagues, Thank you so much for your time Sarah

18th January, 2010 Thanks you so much for all your help ¬ it really has gotten me off to a totally different start than the last 2 times ¬ and I can say I am actually breastfeeding properly. Lyra is having big, big sleeps and big, big feeds so is already down to about 6 feeds a day ¬and one wake up overnight!!! I won’t get too excited yet. And I’m not expressing at all anymore. My breasts are half the size they would have been with the other 2 at this stage. And pain level is getting to be "okay". We even went out to dinner on Saturday night. I realised it was my first time feeding out in public. With the others as I was always expressing & bottle feeding so much at the same time as feeding I would always take a bottle with me for those occasions as feeding was never something I could comfortably and subtly do in the corner. Thanks again for your time, patience, and expertise.
Rebecca, Rob and family

11/12/2009 Dear Robyn You might remember that a year ago you helped me with breastfeeding (first over the phone when you were in Darwin, and then you visited me in Coburg - Susan D-H gave me your name and number). I am still breastfeeding a year later, just once in the morning, and am planning to wean completely very soon as my daughter Jen is now nearly 20 months! I really didn't think I'd even get to a year when I spoke to you so thanks again for your help! I had a couple of blocked ducts from Jan-April - but less than one per month, compared to the 2-4 a week that I was having when I spoke to you - and haven't had any problems at all since about April! It has made such a huge difference!

Dear Robyn, As I look down at my beautiful baby girl, who is 12 weeks old, I realize that if it wasn’t for three amazing women, I would not be happily breast feeding now. At times it felt as if I was feeding all day. I couldn’t do anything around the house, let alone go anywhere. Everyone kept telling me that the first 3 weeks are the toughest. Well, 8 weeks later I still struggled. My supply was always up or down. I would express 2-3 times each day to make sure that Jennifer had enough milk incase my supply went down. I had painful blocked ducts and my baby just never seemed satisfied. By week 8 it got to the point where Jennifer’s nappies were not wet enough and I was forced to give her a few bottles of formula. I was devastated!!! I cried for two days at the thought of not being able to provide for my baby. I could not deal with the fatigue any more. I felt depressed. I was housebound and felt I was going insane. I wanted so desperately to breastfeed but felt I could not go on like this any longer. There had to be a solution and there was. My dearest friend, Skye Eagles, referred me to a beautiful soul and mid-wife (Pippa Buxton). Pippa put me in touch with you (angelic Robyn). Over the phone, you were able to instruct me precisely how to properly feed Jennifer. It only took us three feeds before she was attaching and drawing properly. Your expertise, encouragement and support gave me the confidence to continue breastfeeding. Life is sooooo much easier now. Every mother needs to know about you, your work and philosophy. What a difference you have made to our life. I am eternally grateful and would love to meet you in person some day. Without your help with Jennifer’s feeding, she would now be a bottle fed baby with a mother who would consider herself a failure. I wish you and your family love and joy always. May life bring you all things wonderful. And may you be successful in all you...

15/10/09 Thank you for your visit this morning! My confidence has been restored and now I feel I am not worried when I feed Felix! It is nice to be able to read his body language etc to try and meet his needs. Jennifer
